I work in a commerce company as an assistant to chairman. I’m a little confused about my direction of my job. Yesterday I asked my boss, where I can stay in the future. Our company will IPO in 2021. I really want to be a board assistant in the future, control something about IPO, make discuss and cooperation with some foreign clients. I want to be a board assistant, but he want to me do something about connect all the departments. He said in the future, we will have many branches, he want me be the leader for one of this branch. I don’t like to control company. I think I’m not enough to control a company. I want to be the board assistant and help 3 bosses to control the IPO. On the end, I think I should be move as his plan. Recently I’m a little sad about this. Also he finds another one to do the work about IPO.

I want to be a board assistant, but he wants me to do something about connecting all the departments. He said in the future, we will have many branches, he want me be the leader for one of the branches/ branch manager. I don’t like to manage a company. I don’t have the adequate skills/ ability to manage a branch.. I want to be the board assistant and help 3 bosses to control/manage the IPO. In the end of the conversation, I think I should move forward according to his plan. Recently I’m a little sad about this. Also he found someone else to do the work related to IPO.
