do you + (verb) 动词
are you +(adj) 状态
ex: why did you come early? Why did you go early? I left early because I was hungry.
ex: why are you early? Why are you late? Why were you late?
ex: did you cry? Did you eat? Yes I ate.

I am/you are + ING = I was/ you were +ING (如果是动词)
ex: why were you late? I was sleeping. 我刚才在睡觉
ex: why did you cry? I was watching a film/movie. 我刚才在看电影。
I was talking with/to my boyfriend.

Yesterday I had a customer who did eyelashes, a customer told me you always work out, I cannot keep working out. I did my nails on Sunday, it was too late, I was hungry so I went to BBQ with my colleague. I had lamp soup last night at my friend’s apartment.

Yesterday I had many appointments. I worked 10 am until 10 pm. I finished my work I went to my friend’s apartment and drink red wine. I was tipsy last night. I wanted to take a day off yesterday, but I worked overtime. I’m so busy these days, I don’t have enough time to practice English words.
