Vocabulary

1.take care of= 照顾
ex: My mother takes care of me.
ex: Hanks takes care of his rabbit.

2. thought= past tense of “think”
ex: I thought it’s Monday today. 我以为今天周一
ex: I thought I put my phone on the table, where is my phone?
ex: I thought I ate amazing things today, but where are they?

3. jumped= past tense of “jump”
ex: The rabbit jumped to the forest.
ex: The dog jumped to the garden.

4. trick= 小把戏 小技巧
ex: Let me show you a finger trick! 
ex: Do you know any tricks? I don’t know any.

5. rolled= past tense of “roll” 滚了
ex: My orange🍊 rolled on the ground.
ex: The football ⚽️ rolled on the grass.

6. seem = 看上去
ex: You seem happy today, what happened?
ex: The cat seems dirty, was he in the mud?

7. called = past tense of “call” 打了电话
= 叫了
ex: I called my mother this afternoon
ex: I called for help, Hank is kicking me.
ex: I called 110. I saw a thief.

8. gave = past tense of. “give” 给了
ex: I gave my dog to my friends, because my mom doesn’t like dogs.
ex: I gave my food to the dog, because he is hungry.

Once upon a time there was wee, wee lambkin. The wee lambkin jumped about on his little legs. He ate the green grass and had a fine time. One day he thought he would go to his grandmother’s house. “I shall be very happy,” he said. “Grandmother will take care of me and give me good things to eat”. As the wee lambkin was going along the road, he met a fox. The fox liked to eat lambkin, and so he said “Lambkin lambkin I will eat you.” But the wee lambkin jumped on his little leg and said “To grandmother’s house I go, where I shall bigger grow. Then you can eat me so.”

An old tailor has some sheets, and he has three sons too. One day, the big brother was herding sheep, he called to his father ” I am going to herd the sheep.” and he saw some good grass for the sheeps to eat. “Are you full?” asked the big brother. “Yes I am,” answered the sheep, let’s go home. The old tailor said “is he full?” “yes he is”. He didn’t think so. He asked the sheep, “are you full?” “no I am not”. The old tailor is angry. He told the big brother to go out. The next brother went to herd the sheep.and he saw some good grass for the sheeps to eat. “Are you full?” asked the brother. “Yes I am,” answered the sheep, let’s go home.
