Vocabulary

1.deposit (verb)= 存入
deposit (noun)= 定金
ex: I have to deposit the cash, because I don’t like cash on me.
ex: if you want to buy a car, you need to pay 30% deposit.
ex: I have some cash, I want to go to the bank to deposit the money. 

2. don’t have enough XX= 没有足够的XX
ex: they don’t have enough food at home.
ex: I don’t have enough time to read.

3. rent= 房租
ex: i paid 6-months rent to my landlord.

4. landlord= 房东
ex: I hope I have a good landlord.

5. feed (verb)= 投食 喂养
ex: we are feeding the ducks in the park.
ex: feed the baby
ex: feed my dog

6. mail= 寄信
ex: they’re in the post office mailing letters.

7. absent (adj)= 缺席 不在
ex: I will be absent from Aug. 3- 7. I’ll be back in the office on Aug.8.

8. except XX= 除了XX
ex: I like to eat all kinds of fruits, except durian.
ex: everyone will go to the party except me/ Jack.

9. what a shame/ shame on you= 太羞耻了 可耻
ex: Even a little kid helped you, what a shame!

George is Greek, he’s from Athens. Carla is Italian, she’s from Rome. Mr and Mrs Sato are Japanese, they are from Tokyo. My friend Maria and I are Mexican. We’re from Mesixo City. Yes the students in my English class are very interesting, we are from many different countries and we are friends.
