In the past, people shopped for fruits, vegetables, bread and meat at small food store and at open markets. Before there were no refrigerators, it was difficult to keep food fresh for a long time, so people shop almost everyday. Life today is very different from the past. Refrigerators keep food fresh so people don’t have to shop everyday. People also have very busy lives, they have time for food only once or twice a week.

People shop for food in different kinds of places in small grocery stores at large supermarkets, and sometimes it’s normal for wholesale stores that sell food and other items at low prices. Some people even shop on the Internet.  They order food online and the company delivers it to their home. And in many places around the world, people still shop in little food stores and at open markets. There are certainly many different ways to shop for food these days.

Writing exercise

When I was 17, I would like to earn as much as possible money for my extra expense. So, I went to MCD to work introduced my friend. I learned everything was slowly in the first time. Fortunately, all of colleagues are very vice. After couple of days, I could master掌握 part of all the skills like 收银, 炸fries, made a ice-cream etc.

After I became a waiter at Mcd, I realized that many people didn’t like dip ketchup when they bought a packet of fries, they wanted a special sauce which was collocation with hamburger. We called the sauce “ji sauce” because it was just only in all kinds of chicken hamburgers, for example: 麦辣’鸡’腿汉堡,麦香’鸡’汉堡,板烧’鸡’腿汉堡 etc.

Some people always complain the fries sometimes was tasteless, sometimes was too salty. But it was standard salt when we made it. It must be a lazy employee who didn’t distribute the salt.

We could get a free employee meal every Saturday. I often bought a香芋派extra only pay half percent. But I knew the manager didn’t want to sell 香芋派 to half price
