Vocabulary

1. mimic—-mimicked= 模仿
ex: I was dancing and my daughter mimicked my moves.
ex: We learn by mimicking others.

2. imitate (verb)= 模仿
imitation (noun)= 模仿
ex: he imitated her behavior and was laughed by his parents.
ex: That was a good imitation of a doctor!

3. integrity (noun)= 诚信
ex: your past in the past, from now on, please be a man of integrity.

4. cornerstone= 基石
ex: Disney animation lost its cornerstone in 1966 when the 65 year-old Disney died of lung cancer.
ex: A good diet is the cornerstone of losing weight.

5. inadvertent (adj)= 疏忽的
ex: I was surprised that he would be angry over such an inadvertent action.

6. fob= fresh off boat 很土的
ex: He’s a fob, look at what he’s wearing.

7. diet= 饮食
ex: Janice thinks she has a good diet because she likes to get fruits and veggies.
ex: Lily has a good diet because she doesn’t eat sweet things.
ex: If you have a bad diet, you will die early.

8. on a diet= lose weight减肥
ex: I’m on a diet, I’m cutting my carbs 碳水化合物。
ex: if you are on a diet, you can do burpees to help you to lose weight.
