Vocabulary

1.convenience store= 便利店
ex: I buy donuts in the convenience store.
ex: I always buy ice-creams in the convenience store.

2. convenient (adj)= 方便的
ex: the subway in Shanghai is very convenient.
ex: the buses in Shanghai are very convenient.

3. mail (verb)= 寄
ex: i can mail a letter to my mom, she’s in Canada.
ex: I can mail it to you, because you are too far.

4. temperature (noun)= 温度
ex: the temperature is rising. 温度在升高
ex: what’s the temperature today? 今天几度？

5. room temperature= 室温 常温
ex: I drink water at room temperature.
ex: I like the room temperature.

6. below zero= 零下
ex: when it’s below zero, it will be really chilly.
ex: it will snow when it’s below zero.

7. cozy (adj)= 舒适的 舒服的
ex: my room is very cozy.
ex: my sofa is very cozy.

8. scorching= very very very hot
ex: it’s scorching today, I don’t want to go out.
ex: it’s 40 degrees, it’s scorching.

There are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, fall and winter. Spring is the season when it gets warmer and rains more. Trees begin to bud in spring. Summer is the season when the temperature gets high and it is hot. Leaves on trees are green in summer. Fall is the season when leaves change colour. Some leaves change from green to orange, yellow, red and brown. the change from green to orange, yellow red and brown. The temperature drops and it is cool in fall.

Winter is the season when there is a lot of snow in most parts of Canada. It is very cold and there are no more leaves on most trees in winter.

The temperature get higher and it is rainy outside. It is also wet and warmer season. The temperature drops below zero and it is very cold. It is snowy and everything is covered in white. The temperature gets lower and it is cool outside. It is a breezy season for flying kites. The temperature gets very high and it is sunny. It is a hot season for playing at the beach.
