Grammar

A simple sentence has only one verb

A compound sentence is connected by conjunctions ” and, or, but, so”.

ex: Silvia ate her lunch —> simple sentence
ex: Silvia ate her lunch and then she took a nap –> compound sentence

我今天和我妈去吃饭
I eat with my mom today.

我和一个叫amy的每天早上八点钟去学校
I go to school everyday at 8 o’clock with a girl named Amy. 

我明天下午3点要陪我朋友去医院
I will go to the hospital with my friend tomorrow afternoon at 3 pm.
I will go to the hospital tomorrow afternoon at 3 pm with my friend.
