Vocabulary

troupe – a group of performers

alias – a false name that another person uses instead of their real name

ex. Lemony Snicket is only an alias, most people don’t know what his real name is.

invalid – officially unacceptable

ex. Their marriage was declared invalid because the bride signed the papers with her left hand.

academic – to do with studies

ex. Most people think that being intelligent means that you have to do well in academics, but that’s not true.

When they’re in the library that the movie says that Count Olaf go to bring them back, but in the book it says that the theatre member bring them back.

When Klaus was talking to Count Olaf about the law. In the movie, Count Olaf says she can marry, but in the book Count Olaf asked the brother his sister can’t be married, but Klaus said if his sister said yes.

The brother because he found Count Olaf want to marry the sister in the book.

He’s just good at reading books.

When they’re in the library, in the movie, says that Count Olaf personally goes to bring them back, but in the book, it says that the guy from the theatre troupe brings them back.

When Klaus speaks to Count Olaf about the law. In the movie, Count Olaf says that she can marry, but in the book Count Olaf asks the brother whether his sister can get married. Klaus says that if his sister agrees then it’s okay. 

The brother, because he found out that/discovered that Count Olaf wants to marry his sister from the books.

He’s just good at reading books/He’s just academically smart
