Writing exercise

Which skill do you think is more important, academic or practical?

As far as I am concerned, both of them are important. But compared with academic skill, practical skill is the priority. Because academic skill is hard for people to understand it quickly, which has many abstract concepts. In addition, it’s easy to say it rather than apply it. Sometimes, academic skill is out of realistic. However, the academic skill also can help people to improve the problems in real life, which is systematic. If people have got practical skill , it’s better for them to learn the academic knowledge to find some new ideas.

Revised:

As far as I am concerned, both of them are important. But, compared with academic skill, practical skill is the priority/most valuable. Because academic skill is hard/difficult for people to understand it/absorb quickly because it has/consists of many abstract concepts. In addition, it’s easier in theory than in practice.  Sometimes, academic skill is not realistic. However, it is more systematic and it would help people to improve their organisation skills. If people have attained/learnt practical skills, it’s better for them to learn extra/additional academic knowledge to find/create some new ideas.
