Vocabulary

bomb – the thing that blows up

blow up – to go BOOM

blow out (candles) – get rid of fire

sleep in late – to not get up early

eg. Aiai slept in late and woke up at 2 pm today.

make up (excuse) – come up with a fake story/reason

eg. Aiai made up an excuse today for being late.

break into (house) – to enter your house to steal things

eg. A thief broke into my house to steal my TV.

arrive: to get to a place

eg. I arrived at the restaurant before my friends.

eg. She will arrive before us tomorrow afternoon.

go/went off (alarm): when the alarm clock sounds

eg. The alarm went off at 7 am today.

get on (work) – do/finish you work

eg. Stop talking and get on with your work!

pass away – when somebody dies

eg. She is very sad because her husband passed away.

set aside (money) – put some money away

eg. You can set some money aside to buy a new bicycle.

Speaking exercise

It have four wheels and my dad take off the wheels and I ride it. He doesn’t believe so I need to tell him that I can ride a bike. I think you can’t race with me because maybe you’ll be slow. One is fast, two is slow, but I just race with the slowest. I don’t have to race very fast or I will fall down.

A shrimp, fish. No, many shrimps. I like them but my mum didn’t want me to have a pet just like dog, cat, kitten.

Revised: 

It has four wheels and my dad took off the training wheels and I rode it. He doesn’t believe me so I need to show him that I can ride a bike.
