Vocabulary

commute: regular journey between work and home

eg. It’s at least an hour’s commute to work.

eg. If it takes more than one hour to commute to work then it’s best for you to move to a closer location.

get used to: 适应

eg. It is easy for me to get used to a new environment.

eg. She finds it difficult to get used to living on her own.

comfort zone: 舒适区

eg. I need to get out of my comfort zone by trying out new activities.

compare: 比较

eg. She always compares herself to other people.

argument: 争吵

eg. He got into an argument with his wife last night.

scold:

eg. The boy’s father scolded him for breaking the TV.

freshman: someone new 新手

senior: someone with more years of experience

intern (person): 实习生

eg. The new interns are not very good at their jobs.

internship (n): 实习期

eg. My last internship lasted for 3 months.

Grammar
