spite (n): feeling of anger towards another person that makes you want to annoy or hurt him/her

eg. He’s the sort of person who will annoy you out of spite.

spite (verb): to intentionally annoy, upset, or hurt someone

eg. She deliberately ruined her sister’s wedding dress just to spite her.

Vocabulary

pedestrian: a person who is walking, especially in an area where vehicles go

eg. Cars should stop to let pedestrians pass by.

lost in translation: when something is translated and loses its meaning

sidewalk: a path with a hard surface on one or both sides of a road, that people walk on 人行道

eg. Cars are not allowed on the sidewalk.
