Write something like a story about when you have learned English over different periods of time. 

Original: 

Yesterday morning, when I on the subway, I saw an amazing image about one old couple. The couple looked very comfortable. The woman dressed up a white skirt, she texted something on her phone , since the subway was riding, she was swinging with the subway.Her husband saw that and reached his hand so that the woman could hold it and kept the balance. When the woman putted down the phone, she sharked the hand with her husband. I can not image that they are an old couple but they are still love each other with some body language in the public place. That’s true love I think.

Corrected Version: 

Yesterday morning, when I was on the subway, I saw a lovely amazing image about old couple. The couple looked very comfortable together. The woman was wearing dressed up a white skirt, she was texting something on her phone , since the subway was moving, she was swinging with the subway. Her husband noticed and reached out his hand so that the woman could hold it and keep her balance. When the woman putted down the phone, she shook hands with her husband. It was surprising to me that they are an old couple but they are still love each other and using some body language in a public place. That’s true love I think.

Original:

When I waked up this morning , I felt very down and not happy. These days , some big things were happened in my life. All of them made me almost lost of control. The life is so cruel to an adult, but if so ,we are still should move on industriously.

Corrected:

When I woke up this morning , I felt very down (down in the dumps) and unhappy. These days some important things have been happening in my life. All of them almost made me lose control. Life is so cruel to an adult, even so, we should still move on industriously.

Vocabulary

sympathy – 同情

ex. I feel sympathy that you are having a sleepy day.

Rapping – The style of music which using Rhymes and Beats.

We wrapped it up = 我们把它包起来 . (rapped) 

1. We wrapped up a package to take with us/to mail to Guangzhou. 

2. We wrapped up the class (non-physical).  —–> We finished the class / We ended the class = Class is now over. 

even so —> “but we have to”,  no matter the situation, nonetheless

waked –> woke

not happy –> unhappy (no happy)

big —> Important / Major (choosing different adjectives) 

Life (non-specific) is for Everyone.

industriously —-> in Dus Tree Uhs Lee –> Industry  行业 Efficiency 效率

adjective = industrious .  . . . . . . . . adverb = industriously

—-> to do something in a way  that is Efficient .以一种有效的方式做某事

Grammar

Adverb  = Adjective  + -ly 

Switching Between Two Verb Tenses in a Story: 

1. I saw a lovely couple = Simple Past

2. I was watching a lovely a couple = Continuous Past 

(used for describing an event/story) she texted something –> the explains the action / event as FINISHED

Use for the Stories ! —-> She was texting something —-> Period of time in the past, but STILL ONGOING 

to shake hands with  —-> She shook hands with her husband , She was shaking hands with her husband (Period of time)

The Past Perfect Progressive Tense

have been happening / have been doing 

ex. What have you been doing today?

I have been working in my office and learning English in Smart English.
