We need to focus more on using the past participle forms of verbs.

Last Friday, a man was shot while he was going home. The police say that they don’t know who the shooter was. The man was taken to hospital. His family was called by the police.

• We don’t know who did it – a man was shot
• It’s not important who did it – the man was taken to hospital
• It’s formal – His family was called by the police

These flowers was bought by him.
These flowers were bought by him

These flowers have been bought .

These flowers is bought by him.
These flowers are bought by him.

Theses flowers will be bought.
These flowers prices were discounted by 10%

He has knocked off 10% price for these flower.
He has knocked off 10% of the price of these flowers.
