In September, I traveled to Phuket with my family. It was a nice trip. Here I would like to share a few things that impressived me very much.

1, Humidity
Phucket is an island, located near the equator. It has typical tropical climate, meaning the weather there is very hot and humid. The level of humidity is the one I can never imagine. The clothes I hang out in the balcony will never by dry enough, and the bedsheet I sleep on is always giving me a feeling of it’s just got out of the washing machine. The humidity is the thing that you can’t really avoid.

2, Elephant
Elephants is the animal who enjoy plenty of love from Thai people. They build many elephant protection centers to adopt elderly or disabled elephants. As for the healthy ones, they also developed a tourism model to make money, importantly in a good & sustainable way. My daughter proposed to visit one elephant club, where we can experience how the elephant spend their whole day. With the guidance from local staff, we tried to make food for the elephants, feed them, take a bath for them and lastly play with them in the pond. It was an interesting & meaningful experience for my daughter, learning to be friends with animals, as well as our planet.

3, Thai massage
Thai massage is a must-try if you go to Thailand. There are thousands of massage stores and it is a very mature industry there. Most of them are quite cheap, average spending for one item is below 100RMB. However, I chose to go to a chained store with good reputation whose charge is 2-3 times higher than the averge ones, since I have concerns about the sanitary issue. Thai massage is a mixture of aroma, herb and massage itself. Having a good massage in the morning is a good way to start your brand new day.

Travel is a good thing. Not only you can relax after a peirod of hard work, but also you can live other people’s life as a good experience for a short time.
