Many high-level positions in companies are filled by men even though the workforce in many developed countries is more than 50 per cent female. Companies should be required to allocate a certain percentage of these positions to women.

To what extent do you agree?

Even if female labors account for the majority of the workforce throughout the world, there is no doubt that they can rarely be seen in positions of tactical and strategic level in enterprises. Society has been confronted with an argument that a certain percentage of positions are supposed to be accessible and open to women with the arrangement of companies. Conversely, l am of the view that opportunity for high-level positions should be impartial and equitable for everyone, and companies, thus, have no obligation to allocate a certain percentage of these positions to women.
From internal perspective, whether an individual is suitable and capable concerning a position should be on the basis of his or her performance, which is general knowledge, particularly for an authorities in a company who serve as a role of controlling , planning and decision making when it comes to the company as a whole. For instance, what people in high-level positions are expected to involved in are matters like how much should be invested in the working capital, how much the project is able to generate. If a company allocate these positions to a group of people who are not familiar and comfortable with these staff, it may soon end up with bankruptcy.
From external perspective, shareholders are sure to be unsatisfied and puzzled toward the nomination. Due to the fact that personnel turnover in most high-level positions need to be elected, appointed and, at least, agreed by shareholders, allocating a certain percentage of these positions to women without permission is viewed as defying the whole company’s interest. As a result, share price of the company may fall dramatically and numerous difficulties follow.
In summary, we can easily come to the conclusion that instead of reserving these positions for women, other realistic and feasible methods are required to be taken in order to give chances to everyone who hope to prove themselves.

A group activity i took part in most recently is our class birthday party which was designed for those who may have their birthday alone in the next month. Before it was held we called for a group of people which was good at designing some games and activities for parties. We had the party with all of our classmates but teachers weren’t involved. During the party we played a lot of games such as card games, brainstorming, and other games like that. It was really enjoyable and pleasant for us to have a party like that and it really surprised me that we successfully held such a good party.

As far as I can remember, in the last few months I’ve been to many events and participated in many activities, which included some groups and some smaller events. One particular event was a birthday party at my school celebrating a few of our classmates birthdays. These guys would have spent their birthday alone had it not been for this party – so it was a really good opportunity for us to show them a good time.
