I had a long chat with my daughter last night before, Because she met a problem with nationalities about public relations at school. There are a large amount of chinese students and even at her class have 30% of students from China. She told me they are so like using chinese at class, About that the teacher had said a billion times no chinese at class. The teacher told them If you are using the language which isn’t understand by the other people, They’ll feel unaccepted from the big group and it’s also not politeness during the class. She is quite agree with the teacher and trying to keep the distance with them,But the teacher told her that you can close with your other countries friends, at same time do not leave you nationality. She couldn’t understand the meaning of the sentence clearly, so she asked me what did me think about it? I think maybe the teacher wants her to know when she had the accident at the oversea, Sometimes the nationality will be a strong background for her. And I also think the teacher was remind her not to forget your are from where, Flowing on her body’s blood was a chinese. I was learning that just at the teaching chinese class at recent. There was a question that the kid was born in American at the parent who were both Chinese American,Which language is the kid’s native language? At first I naturally think English should be her/he’s mother tongue,
The correct answer was Chinese yet.I told this question to my daughter and under the suggestion from her teacher, I hope it’s helpful for her to find a solution.

I had a long chat with my daughter the night before last, Because she met a problem with nationalities about public relations at school. There are a large amount of chinese students and even in her class 30% of the students are from China. She told me they really like using chinese in class, About that the teacher had said a billion times no chinese in class. The teacher told them If you are using the language which isn’t understood by the other people, They’ll feel unaccepted from the big group and it’s also not polite during the class. She actually agrees with the teacher and is trying to keep the distance with them,But the teacher told her that you can be close with your friends from other countries, but at the same time do not leave your nationality. She couldn’t understand the meaning of the sentence clearly, so she asked me what do you think about it? I think maybe the teacher wants her to know when she had the accident overseas, Sometimes the nationality will be a strong background for her. And I also think the teacher wanted to remind her not to forget your nationality / where you’re from, and you will always be Chinese. I was learning that just in the chinese teaching class recently. There was a question that the kid was born in America but the parents were both Chinese American, so which language is the kid’s native language? At first I naturally thought English should be her/his mother tongue.
The correct answer was Chinese yet. I talked with my daughter about this question and under the suggestion from her teacher, I hope it’s helpful for her to find a solution.
