Homework

Tell me about your favourite piece of clothing. Think of 10 points that you can talk about, and consider the conjunctions you might need to use to add these details.

Today we focused on:

Did IELTS speaking part 1 and tried to add details to things using conjunctions, and “which” etc.

Started with a question then made a list of related points – for example:

Q: Tell me about the water bottle in front of you.

Points: size, looks, taste of water, better than, price, how you buy, health, often…

A: this water looks like a big pill and the size is as tall as a pencil which is suitable for me when I am working, and I think the taste is better than nongfushan quan and it’s also good for my health because this water has a low PH, and the price is average, sometimes jindong has a discount on this water so I can buy 2 boxes at once which is very convenient for me

Speaking exercise

the weather is very cold and air is very dry. it is very different with in shanghai. shanghai is humid. but at home we have the heater so at home is like summer in the room, we dont need wear a lot of coat.

there are 4 seasons, but for example in sh there are only 2 seasons and only a few days are spring and autumn but in our hometown there are about 3 months for 1 season – we can see the changes but the weather is still very dry the whole year so my skin is become very bad which is really uncomfortable. I don’t like live in my hometown, i prefer living in shanghai.

It’s one of the reasons but it’s not the most important reason that I came to Shanghai. The most important reason I came to Shanghai is Shanghai have much more opportunities than my hometown. I also hate the lifestyle in my hometown because people in my hometown they like drinking and they are very lazy.

20 years ago we were closer with our neighbours, but after we moved to apartments we have less communication with our neighbour because we don’t have any related job or life with them so we don’t need to talk with them / deal with them.
