At the start, the narrator told us that if one day NASA tells us that they have found aliens, will it be good or bad? The scientist assumed that if the great filter is in front of us, that means we are the first animals to pass it, but if the filter is behind us that means we have already passed it. He also said that when most species get to a certain level, they take over the planet so that they can make energy and food, they take the oil under the ground and everything and destroy the planet.

What is loneliness?

Loneliness is a bodily function that makes you want to talk to other people. It helps us to meet more people and have more friends which was important 1000 years ago because friends could help us live, and find food and water.

Why is loneliness bad in the modern world?

Because everyone just looks at their phones and types on their computers, which causes loneliness because if you just play on your phone you can’t talk to friends or make new friends so you feel really lonely all the time.
