Vocabulary

end of December – the last few days of December

rise – to get bigger (cake / bread etc)
eg. the cake didn’t rise because I used the wrong flour

appetizer – the small food that you eat at the start of a meal
eg. we had many different appetizers

mashed potato – the soft potato like clouds

introduce – to tell a friend about another friend and let them meet
eg. my friend introduced me to his wife

last Friday for example we had party with my friends, near my home. We were from 8PM to 3AM. We met with another friends, and enjoyed a lot. We ate payaya, some appetizers, like beef with mashed potato, pasta rolls, pate with bread, some sweet sauce. My friend is there and his husband their son, 1 boy, 2 girls, there were my other friends, Sarah and her husband, Sarah is from Spain and her husband is from Italy, I meet them 2 years ago I think. We were with other friends and they introduced they to us. There were also my husband’s coworkers / partners with his wife, and some was alone.
