Writing exercise

Hi XXX,

After back and forth communication with the supplier, below are their reply which need your review and help.

First of all, the supplier would need your help to combine these 3 POs into 1 PO and the earliest shipdate they could make is Feb 3rd 2018. The reason that they would like to combine these POs is the LCL handling charge is much higher than the FCL handling charges. Also, the pre-production testing will be performed only on one of the SKUs since the materials will be all the same.

As for the quantity, please kindly review attached chart and advise your decision for below options:
1. Increasing the quantity around 40% so the total CBM could be 53 to fill a 40GP container.
2. Keeping the current quantity, however, it will be a light load and will need approval to ship without penalty.

Please kindly note that both options will require supplier to hold fabric inventory in their factory, especially for the artificial leather. In order to show the sincerity to do business with Cabelas and start the first cooperation, they would take the chances and go the extra miles. In the meantime, they will really appreciate that you could share the annual projection (no need the physical orders for the rest of quantity now, the ballpark figure for Q3 and Q4 would be great.)

Please kindly understand and advise your decision in return asap since the time is very tight.

Best regards,
Daisy Wu

Hi XXX,

After back and forth communication with the supplier, below is their reply which I would really appreciate your help and feedback on.

First of all, the supplier would need your help to combine these 3 POs into 1 PO and the earliest shipping date they could make / do / meet is Feb 3rd 2018. The reason that they would like to combine these POs is the LCL handling charge is much higher than the FCL handling charges. Also, the pre-production testing will be performed only on one of the SKUs since the materials will be all the same.

As for the quantity, please kindly review the attached chart and advise your decision by choosing one of the below options:
1. Increasing the quantity by around 40% so the total CBM could be 53 to fill a 40GP container.
2. Keeping the current quantity, however, it will be a light load and will need approval to ship without penalty.

Please kindly note that both options will require supplier to hold fabric inventory in their factory, especially for the artificial leather. In order to show their sincerity to do business with Cabelas and start the first cooperation, they are willing to take a chance and go the extra mile for you. In the meantime, they would really appreciate it if you could share the annual projection (no need for the actual order of the rest of the quantity now, the ballpark figure for Q3 and Q4 would be great.)

Please kindly understand and advise your decision in reply asap since we are quite short on time.

Best regards,
Daisy Wu
