gang – a group of criminals
thief / thieves
steal – rob – people take your things
mug – people rob you on the street
eg. you met a gang / some thieves who wanted to rob / mug you on the street

behind < > in front of
eg. a thief is behind me on the street

attack / retaliate / do sth back to me 
eg. i was worried he would retaliate / I was worried he would do sth back to me / hit me back

eg. America is a democratic country

impeach – to try to kick out a president
eg. the democrats are trying to impeach trump but the republicans are defending him

hearing – court case

testimony – someone said sth in a hearing

rival / rivalry – competitor

ambassador / diplomat 

preoccupied / occupied – busy

corruption / corrupt 
eg. Trump is totally corrupt so there is a corruption inquiry going on

wrongdoing – sth you did wrong

allege – to say sth happened that isn’t proven true yet

inquire 
eg. Hi i wanted to inquire about… = I want to know / I want to ask
