Vocabulary

Initiatives – the ability to assess and initiate things independently

eg. He took the initiative to start a new project by himself.

Maritime – Related to the ocean/sea

eg. Most of the worlds cargo travels by maritime on shipping vessels.

Spatial – relating to space/area

Capitalism – Economic and political freedom in a country, eg. Can earn as much money as your able.

Capacity – how much of something can fit/be held in a space.

eg. I don’t think there is enough capacity for all of us to fit.

Volume – Capacity of something that holds liquids.

eg. The volume of this can of sprite is 330ml.

Precipitated –  something that suddenly happens or something that causes something else to happen.

Eg. Germany attacking the Czech Republic precipitated the 2nd World War.

Jostled – Something that causes a great change or increase in something quickly

Hegemony – One is stronger or more powerful then any of the others and may have control.

eg. USA was the strongest and richest country so it had a global hegemony.

Bolstering – To show something that is bigger or greater then others.
