Vocabulary

Cold open – When there is no introduction or lead up

Reneged – to decide not to honor the original deal/agreement and possible try to cheat someone

Pretense – talking about the previous conditions before there was changes
eg. People thought they were following the deal but the pretense has since changed and the deal was off.

Confiscate – take away something (formal version for police or officials)

Lambasting – Very tough criticism

Incinerate – to burn something (until nothing left)

Jerky – dried meat

Hot wire – to start a vehicle using the wires in it and not the key (often related to stealing it)

Hypocritical – saying one thing but doing the opposite
eg. You can’t lead by example if your hypocritical

Subdues – prevent someone from fighting back (sitting on them, handcuffs, etc)

Mow – to cut or push something down so its not in your way or a problem for you

Resurrection – to come back to life

Convoy – a bunch of vehicles traveling together

Convey – to move stuff to its intended place; to make something more understandable someone can get the meaning
