Cover – the outside of something that protect it
eg. The book cover is on the front and back.

Distance – how far between two things
eg. 1 ————- 2 (the distance between 1 and 2 is small)
eg. 1 ———————————————————-2 (the distance between 1 and 2 is big)

Request – ask for something
eg. Can I request that you talk slower/Can I ask that you talk slower

Part – a small piece of a bigger thing
eg. My computer has many parts
Apart – separate parts

Spare/extra – a 2nd, 3rd, 4th of something

Spare – 备用
eg. I broke my first one but I have a spare (second one)

Service – do something for someone else

Brush – 毛笔

Tones – 声调

Black sheep – someone in a family who has done bad things
Black horse – someone who is stronger than they look
eg. He is very small, but he is stronger then he looks

Weak – not strong
