Speaking exercise that changes tenses (past–>present–>future) to focus on verbs
Internal – the inside
Internal clock – your bodies time when it tells you to do something (sleep, eat, go to work)
eg. My Internal clock is still set to Spanish time.
External – the outside
Chain –Â
Chain Restaurant – a restaurant with many of the same shops (Mcdonalds, burger king, etc)
Steel/chain mail Glove-Â a glove that can’t be cut
raw –Â not cooked
cured – dried, salted, smoked so it can last a long time without being cooked
goosebumps – a nervous/scared feeling that makes your skin crawl (feel weird)
eg. When I see someone use a meat slicer, I get goosebumps because they scare me now
Status –Â what you can afford to buy/do
Dish – a plate of food often made from several different foods
Grammar
I like very much Chinese class –> I like Chinese class a lot/I really like Chinese class
I like (something) very much : object (I) + verb (like) + noun (a person/place/thing) –> Don’t put anything between the verb & noun
Correct: I am going to the mall/I am going by bicycle to the mall later/I want to eat at RAW restaurant
Incorrect:I am going quickly to the mall/I am going by bicycle later to the mall/I want to eat now at raw restaurant
I am going by bicycle to the mall later (correct)
later I am going by bicycle to the mall (correct)
I am going by bicycle later to the mall (incorrect)
