Shanghai has a lot of places for fun. It has a lot of parks. It has special dumplings.

My favorite park is century park. It has a big lake. There are a lot of flowers and trees in this park. It has some ducks and fish in the lake.

I will go home. I will do my homework and play games on my phone.

My favorite food is noodles. Italian noodles. (pasta)

Vocabulary

Nervous – afraid

eg. I am nervous to go USA this summer

Pond – A small body of water (smaller then a lake)

Cap – small hat/cover for your head using during swimming or shower

eg. In the pool I wear a swim cap

Goggles – air tight glasses used for swimming or other activities.

Fence – a small wall or barrier to something or keep something seperated

Scoreboard – a board used to keep track of points

eg. I shot the basketball and it hit the scoreboard

Court – A surface area used to play sports on (badminton, basketball, tennis)

eg. I play basketball on the court

Net – String tied together to catch things

eg. I shot and missed the net

Hoop – A round ring

eg. He did a slam dunk and broke the basketball hoop

Fishing rod – a long stick used for fishing

eg. I wanted to catch some fish but forgot my rod

Shoot – To throw the ball towards a target

eg. I tried to shoot the ball but missed the net

Pass (past tensed ‘passed’) – To give the ball to another player on your team

eg.  I passed you the ball and you dropped it

Pasta – Italian style noodles

Bolognese – Italian tomato pasta sauce

eg. my favorite food is Italian bolognese
