My name is X, I am a project manager in the technology department at ZTE, one of China’s leading internet equipment manufacturers. I am writing to you in recommendation/in support of Ying Chen, who is applying to you Master’s in Business Analytics program. I thus offer my full support towards her application.

I first came to know Ying Chen in 2009, when she graduated from university and applied directly to our company. She began working as a project engineer in my team, and during that time, she was responsible for controlling a series of terminal equipment. As the project manager, I would oversee her daily work and during her time at our company. Ying Chen came to demonstrate many talents.

Ying Cheng was responsible for creating some project milestone assessment instructions and defining project activities, which were assignments generally given to employees more senior than her. It was her attention to detail, and her ability to learn new material quickly and adeptly that allowed her to progress within our company.

In addition, she coordinated many people across different departments, and also arranged and allocated different tasks throughout the project’s many milestones. She also created many reports generated from the detailed information from within the projects. These reports would be sent to top management to assist them in making decisions and helped them monitor the project’s progress. Her reports were always flawless and submitted in a timely manner, always leaving enough time for final adjustments and review.

When Ying Chen informed me that she was seeking further studies, I could not be happier. I believe your school will enhance her already-solid grasp of the industry and make her an even more competitive candidate. I thus  fully support her application to your Master’s program.
