Write a short story using some the new words, it can be about anything.

Review some of the vocabulary this class.

Vocabulary

Fountain pen- gang bi a kind of metal pointy pen that you use ink to write with.

e.g. I love fountain pens but sometimes they make a mess. If there’s too much ink, it will spill and stain the paper.

Ballpoint pen-  a pointy pen that writes very smoothly.

e.g. How long does the ink last? How often do you buy refills?

Ink- black liquid we use for writing.

e.g. I bought a bottle of black ink, it can last for a whole year.

Clog- when something blocks something

e.g. You should not throw oil in the sink because it will clog.

Balcony- lutai

e.g. I have a lot of plants on my balcony so I like to spend some time there.

Plumber- Someone who fixes pipes, sinks, and toilets.

e.g.g I had to call a plumber because my toilet was clogged.

Sharp- something that can cut things easily.

e.g. I tried to cut my hair but the scissors were not very sharp so I did a bad job.

Acid- a kind of liquid that will dissolve (make something very small) things

e.g. We have acid in our stomach to help us digest food.

Pronunciation

Germany- jer-mah-nee

Lamy- lah-mee (a German brand that makes pens)
