Make fun of ***- You can only use “make fun of” to refer to a moment where someone is mocking or insulting someone else.

TP01 Speaking Task 6

Original 

The scientists found that the babies have mathematical abilities even when they are 5 months old. They did smart but easily to operate experiment. They put a baby on a table and show it a doll in front of it. After they make sure that the baby see the doll they put a screen between the doll and the baby now the baby cannot see the doll but it knows there is a doll behind the screen then the scicentist takes out another doll then shows the baby then put it behind the screen so now if the baby have mathematic screen it will know there are two dolls behind the screen then the scientist take away a oll behind the screen secretly and take away the screen. If the baby see only one doll now and show no suprise at all it will prove the baby has no mathematical skills at all but if the baby surprises stares and shows suprise, it means the baby already has mathematical skills

After they made sure that the baby saw the doll they put a screen between the doll and the baby and it couldn’t see the doll anymore but it knows there is a doll behind the screen.  the scientists then took out another doll then showed it to the baby then also put it behind the screen. so if the baby had mathematical skills it would know there are two dolls behind the screen. then the scientists took away one of the dolls behind the screen secretly and removed the screen. If the baby only saw one doll now and showed no surprise at all it would prove the baby has no mathematical skills at all but if the baby is surprised and stares, it means the baby already has mathematical skills.

I like going to bars and clubs in the weekend and have visited many different bars in Shanghai, But ther eis one bar i visit every single week it is the Zappatas on Huang Shan raod, it’s very special and important to me because i met many of my friends including my wife there. We have spent almost 10 years there. Actually we can say we spent all of our youth there. Ten years ago it was a very famous among the foreiigners liek german or french men, one of my friends troduced me to go there  nad go watching people dancing slasla it looks elegantly and beautifully. Later I brought all my friends to drinks beers and listen to music and sometimes we dance and people were getting to know other people friends were knowing more friends. Our group was getting bigger and bigger we almost know everyone in the bar. Even the security guys made frineds with us every time. now 10 years have passed, we don’t go ther eas frequently as before but it is still the most important and special place for us.

The lecturer shared some opinions about the 4 work days policy with us as followed:
First, the 4 days week work policy may not reduce the cost of the company as we thought before, since new employees need training. More employees will definitely increase the training cost. Also the benefits and working cost such as workplace need to be considered.
Secondly this policy may not decrease the work load of the 4 days work employees or reduce the employment rate, since some companies may hope the employees could finish their 5 days workload in 4 days.
Finally this policy will put the 4 days working employees in a vulnerable position when facing job competition with 5 days employees. 4 days working employees are not so competitive in working skills and availabilities compare with 5 working days employees. When the companies are considering cutting the positions, 4 days employees will have higher risk than the 5 days employees.
