Vocabulary

Red Bull- (hong niu) The brand of energy drink.

e.g. You shouldn’t drink Red Bull mixed with Vodka.

Pina Colada-  a cocktail made with coconut and pineapple.

e.g. I love pina coladas when it’s hot outside.  (listen to the Escape by Rupert Holmes )

One-hit wonder- Someone who did something good just once but never did anything famous after that.

e.g.  Many old singers are one-hit wonders, we just know their one song.

Mint- A type of herb

e.g. We use mint to make mojitos.

Lime- like a lemon but green.

e.g. I love eating Thai food, because they use a lot of lime.

Pessimist- People who are negative.

e.g. Don’t be a pessimist, we won’t miss our flight we are two hours early.

Exhausted- When you are very tired.

e.g. Last night I stayed up all night doing work and now I feel exhausted.
