Write about your experience of celebrating Halloween in Huan Le Gu.

Vocabulary

Scared OR Scared- To get scared of something OR to scare someone (make them feel afraid).

e.g. If I play horror games by myself, I get too scared and can’t sleep.

e.g. On Halloween, I really like to scare people with my mask and costume.

Virtual- (xuni) Something that exists only in a game or the computer or internet.

e.g. I really spend a lot of time playing Virtual Reality games on my PS4.

Reality- Anything that has to do with real life. When you wake up, you are in reality.

e.g. Sometimes, when I’m having a dream, I can’t tell if it’s reality or not.

Flashlight- A small thing you hold to give you light when it’s dark.

e.g. In every hotel room in China, there is always a flashlight by the door in case of earthquakes.

Community- A group of people who share similar interests or other things.

e.g. My friends and I made a community of gamers who meet every weekend to play a couple games and talk about new ones.

Nightmare- A bad dream that usually scares you or makes you feel bad.

e.g. Last night I had a nightmare that my bed was full of spiders.
