Vocabulary

Flip-flops or Sandals-  A kind of open shoe you wear on your feet, especially when you go to the beach.

e.g. Whenever I take a shower at the public pool, I always wear flip-flops.

Blister-  Kind of like a mosquito bite, but is caused by two things rubbing against each other, such as your skin and a new shoe.

e.g. Yesterday when I wore my new shoes I got many blisters.

Scorching- When we talk about very intense heat that burns things.

e.g. Today, Shanghai was scorching, it reached 45 degrees Celsius!

Delve- When we become deeply involved in something and want to know more.

e.g. I delved deep into understanding how Rubix cubes work.

Cicada (zhiliao)- A kind of bug that screams very loud in the hot days of summer.

e.g. I usually like to sit on my balcony and listen to the cicadas sing.

Scab- When you hurt yourself and the blood dries up, it becomes a scab.

e.g. When I scrapped my knee, I had a big scab for three weeks.

Nimble- When someone is very quick and good at moving.

e.g.  I played a video game where the main character was very nimble and had to run away from the monster.

Applaud-When you clap your hands to congratulate someone.

e.g. After I sang my song, the whole classes started applauding me.

Grammar

In these two days only me staying the home, and then I have the class of VIP Kid. My mom and dad give me some vacation homework, to write some English.

In these two days, I stayed home alone, and then I had a VIP kid class. My mom and dad gave me some homework to do during the vacation.
