Discriminate/Discrimination: When you do something to avoid or harm someone because you have a bad idea about the group they belong to.
e.g. If I ever go into business for myself, I’m afraid I will probably discriminate against Taiwanese people. It’s because I have had bad experiences with them.
Stereotypes: It is the idea that people from a similar group or background are all the same and behave the same.
e.g. We should try our best not to let stereotypes be our final judgement about people.
Pessimistic: When you have a very negative view of something.
e.g. Someone who goes on vacation and only sees the negative things is being pessimistic.
Optimistic: When you have a very positive view of something.
e.g. If you look at a glass and you see it half full, you are probably an optimistic person.
