Boundary- where something ends and something else begins, another way of saying setting rules.

e.g. Whenever I get a new room mate, I have to set clear boundaries on what is and what isn’t acceptable.

To make a racket- When something or someone is making loud noises, especially at night.

e.g. Every night, as soon as I go to close my eyes, my cats start to make a racket.

Conditions- to train someone or something to do something

e.g. If you give your cats food when they meow, it conditions them to it again next time.

Balcony/Terrace- Yangtai the place outside your apartment where you put plants or chairs.

e.g. I don’t usually use my balcony since it’s very cold in Shanghai now.

Screen- shachuang

e.g. if you open the windows, you should keep the screen closed so mosquitoes don’t come in.

Destiny-  ming yun  something that decides peoples’ lives.

e.g. It was destiny that brought us together, we were meant to be.

Temper- pi qi a kind  of bad mood or anger you have

e.g. My boss has a very bad temper, he always screams at people.
