Vocabulary

Deceive- [v.] when you try to trick or lie to someone.

e.g. My friend told me it was her birthday but only after I bought her a present did I realize she deceived me.

Shadow- The dark shape of something when you put a light over it.

e.g. My cat is such a coward he is afraid of his own shadow.

Coward- [n.] someone who is afraid of everything.

e.g. My cat is a coward, if I drop something he will run away quickly.

Storage room- A place where you put things

e.g. I have a storage room back in my hometown that is filled with books.

Culture/Cultural-  wenhua

e.g. There are many cultural differences.

Poetry/Poem-  (Shi) a kind of story that we write that shows a lot of emotions

e.g. I love reading poetry during my time off.

Poet- The person who writes poetry.

e.g. My favorite poet is Nalan nong luo
