Vocabulary

Roe (Crab roe/fish roe) Caviar-  The eggs of the fish that are considered very tasty.

e.g. I love to eat crab roe, it has such a wonderful taste.

Murphy’s Law- If something can go wrong, it will!

Joie de Vivre- French for the love of life

e.g. She cooks dinner at home and even decorates the table with flowers, she has such a joie de vivre!

Savoir Vivre- Know how to live life, especially politeness and manners.

e.g. He always says hello, please, and goodbye,

Artisanal- Something that is made in small quantities with a lot of care and attention.

e.g. I love to buy artisanal bread from that French store, it’s always so fresh and delicious.

Herd Mentality-  When people follow other people for no apparent reason other than to follow.

e.g. People always line up outside that store, the longer the line the more people will go check it out. It’s such a herd mentality.
