Be, Have Been, Being, Was, Is, Am.

Vocabulary

Contradiction- A noun, opposite of something

e.g. What they told me and how they acted seems like it’s a contradiction.

Explicit- Something that is very obvious.

e.g. My boss explicitly told me if I don’t improve my monthly sales he’ll fire me.

Implicit- Something that is not very obvious but understood.

e.g. Although he didn’t say anything directly, I could tell he was implicitly threatening.

Ingrained- Something that goes very deeply, to study or know something very well, remember it well.

e.g. My Chinese teacher made me recite the poem ten times a day until it was ingrained in my head.

Rivalry- When you compete against someone

e.g. There is a very strong rivalry between Jiatong University and Fudan Univeristy, both are trying to be Shanghai’s number one school.
