Vocabulary

tiring – makes someone tired (i.e. It’s very tiring)

railway station – huo che zhan

fascinating – extremely interesting

not to that degree yet – tan bu shang

decent – pretty good

overachiever: 积极向上，特别努力的人

boring – not interesting (i.e. I’m a boring person.)

addictive – making someone addicted to something

spoiler alert – to notify someone that I will reveal the whole story line

plot – script, play; planning something (i.e. She’s plotting something)

plot twist – drastic change in the storyline

talk down on – speaking of domeone in an unapproving way, or make someone feel small

be hard on body – asking too much from somebody, holds a very high standard for someobdy

subordinate – someone with a lower job/title/position

scholar – a very acknowledgable person [usually someone in a university or instittute doing research]

meditation – think deep and focus on your mind for a period of time, usually done in silence or with soothing music
