Vocabulary

In laws – the relatives of your partner

e.g. My in laws are coming this week.

e.g. Her father and sister in law went to USA.

Court – the phase of relationship between friends and marriage. Also known as “dating”

e.g. They have been courting for two years.

e.g. This is a nice courtship.

We don’t know what the future holds – phrase meaning the future is uncertain

e.g. We don’t know what the future holds, so lets not waste the present moment.

Latrine – a toilet especially one built for communal use

e.g. The latrine was poorly constructed.

e.g. His key fell in the latrine.

Same wavelength/frequency – when a group of people/friends understand each other especially in a way nobody else does

e.g. Wow! You get what I mean! It’s like we’re on the same wavelength.

e.g. I don’t think they will last, they are not on the same frequency with each other.

Vibe – to have a wonderful moment with yourself or with someone

e.g. We vibed so well at the party last night.

e.g. Today is so good. I am getting good vibes from everyone I meet.
