Speaking exercise

I just have a haircut and do beautiful nail. I’m have class and go to fit. Yesterday my coach let me to exercise back and today we will to have leg exercise. She look after to me and make sure every exercise we have great result and have great process.

I just had a haircut and did my nails beautifully[had my nails done beautifully].

Recently, I went to class and went to the gym.

Yesterday, my trainer [had me exercise my back][helped me (to) exercise my back][instructed me to exercise my back] and today we will [have] leg exercises.

She [helped][helps] me lose weight and build a good shape. She also makes sure we achieve a great result every class and have [a professional (working) relationship].

I go to class one week. -> I go to class once a week. (every week you go one time)

Vocabulary

motivate – to push someone to do something, to give them inspiration

ex: My trainer motivates me to exercise harder.

reinforce – to make something stronger, to give something more support

ex: The global warming seminar reinforced the idea that climate change is a major problem.

interact – to act upon someone else

ex: I usually interact with my friend during work breaks.

empower – verb – to give power to someone else, through things like education

ex: We empowered the local farmers to generate electricity using solar panels.

profits – the amount of money a company makes (revenue minus costs)

nonprofit – a company that doesn’t aim to make money, but aims to benefit its market in a different way.

Grammar

Subject verb agreement –

In general, with singular subjects, add “s” to most present tense verbs to make them singular

ex: The teacher teaches; the dog barks; He eats; The child plays

In general, with plural subjects or with “I, you, we”, use the basic form of the verb for present tense

ex: They sleep; The children play; The animals run; I learn; We kick; You read

Pronunciation

leg – short “e” sound, not “a” sound

strict – make sure to pronounce the “c” clearly

tired – make sure the “r” sound is very clear

every; invest – practice the “v” sound by biting the top of your bottom lip with your top two teeth.

usually – slow down a lot, make sure to pronounce the “s” sound clearly – “jzoo”

products – put the emphasis on the first syllable PRAW’-ducts

specific – spuh-si-fick

progress – PRAW-gress

clothes – cloh-thz – silent “e”

lives – when used as a noun, pronounce it with a long “I”
