Write a short essay about your favorite Pevensie child from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. What are his/her characteristics? What is something he/she did that you liked or didn’t like.

We shouldn’t use electronic devices too much, it’s bad for our eyes.

Vocabulary

1. Pick (basketball) – when an offensive teammate without the ball stands next to the defender who is directly defending the offensive player with the ball. this allows the player with the ball to get an open shot. Usually we say “set a pick”

2. Block (basketball) – after an offensive player shoots the ball, the defender hits the ball in the air and prevents it from going into the hoop.

3. Goaltend [verb/noun] (basketball) – if a defensive player blocks a shot as it’s going down towards the basket, then that’s goaltending and the shot will still count

4. Out of bounds – when a player commits a violation where they or the ball leaves the playing field. The rule is different for different sports.

5. Chronicles – a series of books or stories with a common theme or plot.

6. superhuman – adjective; more than what a normal human is capable of. ex: superhuman strength

7. psychic – noun: someone who can use their mind to manipulate things or to read someone else’s mind. adjective: ex- psychic powers

8. Manipulate – verb – to move or change things

9. Telekinesis – noun – using your mind to move things.

10. origin – noun – where you’re form

11. origin story – the backstory to someone’s life, what made that person the person they are now.

Grammar

Make sure to think about subject verb agreement, such as when you use a plural or singular subject, how the verb should be formed, as well as when to use past tense.
