Speaking exercise

What did you do today?

The sun is very good today so I put my duvet under the sunshine which will make them more warmer in winter. Then I took the package from the apartment compound office then I cooked for lunch. I ate congee for lunch. Then I went to the train station to take the train from Kunshan to Shanghai. Before I arrived here, I went shopping at JiuGuang Shopping Mall. I buy the mask and hand cream, the downstair of the shopping mall. Then I came to here for the class.

I will go back to Kunshan to meet my friend and have a dinner with her. We maybe will watch film at JingYing Shopping Mall.

wuye = property management (people) / apartment compound office  (place)

beard /s n. – a lot of facial hair

step by step = gradually

åšæŒä¸æ‡ˆ = persevere ( per seh veer ), don’t give up

Writing exercise

Write a diary about what you did today but try not to use the dictionary. Use simple words and try to make some longer sentences. If you don’t know the word, use other words.

I had a English class at 6:00 pm in Shanghai yesterday. My English teacher was Jesse this time who is very popular in Smart English and has a lot of hair on his face which likes what the students described on the “Da Zhong Dian Ping”.
Jesse taught me many skills on grammar includes let me know the difference between “to” and “for”, and the application of “to” or “for” in daily life. For example, try to speak more sentences in English will be useful for me to improve my speaking skills.
Jesse gave me a score by evaluating me on my speaking, listening, reading and writing. He provided some professional suggestions to me likes that I can come to the group class which maybe will be opened to the public next month to study more vocabularies. But the schedule of the group class will be arranged at 7:00 pm from Monday to Thursday which is unsuitable for me that I can not attent the class on time because I have to take the train after 6:00 pm when the daily work is over from Kunshan to Shanghai.
I am sincerely grateful to Jesse that he felt that I was very nervous when I was speaking in English, and then he tried to share more examples and talk to me more to avoide me being embarrassed.
I know it must be very hard for me to correct my pronunciation, learn and remember more vocabularies, speak fluently and locally, but I still believe that I can do it if I can keep continuously learning from these professional foreign teachers step by step.

Notes: I spend one and half hour on writing this diary and checked some words which I do not know how to write.
