VIP Class Notes (Bryce)

Today, Rachel and I spoke about preparing for her IELTS exam.  She also provided a paragraph to review and correct.

Then, we had a talk about her plans for Chinese New Year.  She will spend it with her family.  They will cook many good food dishes.  We will also visit those that we have not seen for a long time.

Grammar

I am engaging in the MBA program to utilize my past experience and grow myself into a more elevated position.  My primary goal, is to better educate myself and prepare to enter a challenging new industry.  Also, I want to start my own business in the future. Ultimately, I want to achieve financial freedom.

I grew up in a family of business people.  My parents were able to run multiple shops for more than 20 years.  They were able to provide us with steady income.  Their hard work really paid off.  However, the scale of their business is limited.  The increase in wealth opportunities is slowing.  Perhaps limited financial education has inhibited their understanding of growth in their business sector.

From a young age, I watched how they had expanded their business.  I learned early on the basics of a business mindset.  They showed me that their passion for daily achievement allowed them to attain their goals.  Following on their business success, I realize that having a career that you love is the most important thing.  I will try my best to find a career that I love and follow their example of success.

When I graduated from medical university, I joined a 3-year program called Standardized Residency Training in Shanghai.  I developed strong communication skills and rigorous working habits during this time.  But, as time passed, I gradually recognized that I am not interested in being a doctor.  I have concerns about the relationship between doctors and patients.  This experience has led me toward a new direction in my search for the career that I will love.

I plan to take from my past the lessons learned.  The MBA program will allow me to advance forward toward my stated ambitions.  These will lay a bridge toward a new chapter in my life.
