ie. Matthew has a strange set of collectibles.

succulent: 汁多味美的
ie. The steak looks succulent but in fact it is very bland/is without/lacks flavor

adopt a hobby: have a new hobby
ie. I adopted a new hobby last week.

equality: 平等

fairness：公平
ie. Gender equality and fairness are two of the important things in my life.

abstract: 抽象
ie. This painting is abstract but that one is realistic.

battlefield: 战场
ie. When I fight against/go to war with Fran, our room becomes a battlefield.

intense: 强烈
ie. I have intense feelings towards American politics.
ie. American politics gave me a strong impression.

silent treatment：冷战
ie. We use the silent treatment one or two times a year.
