Today we are going to finish our work on learning about rhymes. （English Smart workbook）

Vocabulary

shape：形状
ie. The shape of Ally’s cup is round.

boring：无聊
ie. Today is boring.

pairs：对子
ie. We learned about rhyming pairs.

rhyme: 押韵
ie. Lots of English words rhyme.

ponytail：马尾，辫子（头发）
ie. Nona’s hair is in a ponytail. 

flat: 平，扁
ie. Ally’s hair is very flat.

mite：螨虫

bite：咬（过去式 bit）
ie. A mite bit  Nona’s hand.

a long time ago：很久以前
ie. A long time ago, I went to the supermarket with my mom.

world：世界
ie. This world is big/This is a big world.

in front of me/you/him/her…：在…前面
ie. Nona is sitting in front of her mother.

fall：掉落

ground：地上
ie. Nona’s candies fell on the ground.

jacket:外套

grab：拿上
ie. Nona grabbed her jacket because today is very cold.

sled：雪橇
ie. Nona does not have a sled.

slide：滑 （过去式 slid）
ie. Nona slid down the hill.

take a spill：摔倒
ie. Nona took a spill because she is not sitting in the chair.

hot cocoa：热巧克力
ie. Nona’s favorite drink is hot cocoa.

blow: 吹
ie. Nona is blowing her hot cocoa because it is too hot.

A mite/bug bit me (a long time ago), so I have a little bump on my hand.
一个螨虫／虫子(很久以前)咬了我，所以我有一个小疙瘩在我的手上。

Nona can’t pronounce the “f” sound correctly because she is missing a tooth.
Nona的“f”音发不准了，因为她掉了一颗牙齿。

sled: not “seld”, pronounce s-l-ed
