“Do you …”? : In a QUESTION SENTENCE, Do is not a verb, you still need a verb

Q: Tell me something bad you did/gossip you heard
A: In my work, I have a design project. I need cooperation with brand marketing team. So they need design a graphic to us, so I asked for brand marketing director. She told me I can communicate with her team member, who name is Ling, but Ling always bu pei he us. So she give me a proposal is very bad. I tried to communicate with her and her director but they’re think it’s perfect design but they don’t want to revise. So I change another way to communicate. I just send the email to my boss, our VP, and asked VP the design is good or not. He said the design is very bad, and he said did you communicate with director? I said yes, but she said it’s OK, so I first show you because I think it’s cannot put this design in the store, because this is garbage.
