Vocabulary

I don’t like to make trouble

Shift – the time of working from start to finish

eg: Nobody could take her shift.

fill in – if there is something missing, to put another thing in that place

eg: Jessica can’t work today, so we will call Sarah and ask her to fill in. She can work Jessica’s shift, from 7:30 am, to 5 pm.

short staffed – you don’t have staff

eg: I don’t like being short-staffed.

self – discipline – the ability to control yourself

eg: I don’t have enough self-discipline to quit eating sugar.

eg: He quit smoking, that’s scary. Because he has so much control that he could do anything, he is maybe dangerous. (Joking)
