Vocabulary

Time off – when you don’t work; sick leave, vacation, national holidays

Tourist Spot / Scenic Location – some specific place that people go to see on vacation
Travel Destination – a city or region where people go on vacation, probably with a few scenic spots
e.g. All of the tourist spots will be too crowded.

Bar Exam – an exam to be a lawyer in the United States
the Bar of [State] – a “bar” is all the lawyers allowed to go into court and argue cases; all the people allowed to work as lawyers in a state.

Philosophy – 哲学

Intuition – when you just feel that something is right or wrong without giving any reasons
e.g. My intuition is that this is wrong, but I will have to think about why.

Liberal Arts – philosophy, literature, languages 文学
Social Science – psychology, economics, political science, geography 社会科学

Constitution – the law that creates a government and gives people important rights 宪法
